Also of note at the Oregon Country Fair were the Sweet Can Circus, hailing from San Fransisco. They had a lot of talent and a bizarre performing style that worked really well. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. You might just have to see for yourself. The show had elements of vaudeville and mime but had a fresh contemporary feeling.
During the performance they would be miming something, one of the performers would change slightly and they would all then react to what the new performer was doing. It was like an extremely well scripted improv show, if that makes any sense at all. It is also a treat to see people wearing “normal” clothes doing circus acts. They did things that you see other performers do but with an air of freshness. Definitely worth checking out.
